Blue Brix - Straubing wonder worlds with lots of model railways under one roof
There is something for every model railway friend: The largest miniature and model railway show in southern Germany. On 750 square meters on two floors it exhibits numerous model railway layouts on a wide variety of topics. At the 440 square meter H0 layout “From the North Sea to the Alps” the visitor can take a round trip through "Germany in miniature".
Another H0 layout with 130 square meters pays special attention to the City of Straubing. Here is a detailed replica of the Straubing downtown with the city tower and town hall, the zoo, the castle, the Gäuboden folk festival and much, much more.
Friends of the large G gauge can join the 44 square meter system motifs of the Swiss Alps, as well as the 160 square meter facility in the typical Wild West style at their expense. This is where the classic steam locomotives roll out of the American West's railroad pioneering days through the vast expanses wooded areas of North America and the deep canyons of the American West to New Mexico.
The technical attractions are brand new. With the help of virtual reality glasses, you can take a fast ride in the new VR coaster be experienced on the roller coaster. On the seats that move in all directions, it is an incredibly real driving experience. In the 5D cinema there are funny films to be admired with 3D glasses. The moving ones seats and the special effects (wind, water, soap bubbles, ...) pull the viewer fully involved in the action. And in the new Immersive Train there is a special train journey through time. This rapid journey through time takes the visitor into the past, to Indians, pirates and even dinosaurs to find the way to the future there. How well, that the train driver has everything under control in the end. An experience that can only be found at Blue Brix are.
